Quote Comparison
Overview
Section titled “Overview”When you’ve received responses to an RFQ or collected quotes from multiple vendors, use the comparison tool to evaluate them objectively.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”- Go to Procurement → Quote Comparison
- Select the RFQ or manually add quotes to compare
- Producit shows a side-by-side comparison table
Comparison Criteria
Section titled “Comparison Criteria”| Criteria | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Total Price | Lowest overall cost |
| Line Item Breakdown | Where each vendor is cheaper/more expensive |
| Payment Terms | Net 15, net 30, deposit required? |
| Availability | Can they deliver on your dates? |
| Vendor Rating | Past performance from your rating history |
| Compliance | Are all required documents current? |
Making a Decision
Section titled “Making a Decision”Select the winning quote and:
- Award — Creates a PO for the winning vendor
- Decline others — Notifies other vendors
- Save notes — Record why you chose this vendor (useful for future decisions)
AI-Assisted Comparison
Section titled “AI-Assisted Comparison”For quotes received as PDF documents, Producit can automatically extract line items and pricing using Quote Extraction, making it easy to compare without manual data entry.
